Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Cuban bread or soft French bread
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 6 slices roast pork
  • 6 slices ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 dill pickle slices
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter

Method

  1. Slice the loaf into 2 sandwich portions.
  2. Spread mustard on both cut sides.
  3. Layer the roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, and pickles.
  4. Close the sandwiches and butter the outside lightly.
  5. Heat a skillet, grill pan, or sandwich press over medium heat.
  6. Press the sandwiches for 3 to 5 minutes per side until the bread is crisp and the cheese is melted.
  7. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • If you have leftover mojo pork, use it. If not, deli roast pork still gets you a strong result.
